A practical walkthrough
How to make your
Tiny Desk AI concert.
Start with a photo and a clear idea of who belongs in your band.
1. Choose your lead singer
Use one clear photo of an adult who has agreed to appear. A front-facing portrait with visible eyes works better than a distant group photo. See our photo guide for the input checklist.
2. Cast the rest of the band
Just me uses your photo for the lead and fictional musicians for the other roles. My band opens four optional slots: left backing singer, right backing singer, keyboard player and sax player. Leave any optional slot empty to use an AI musician. Roles are assigned in the generation brief; resemblance and performance can vary.
3. Pick a set and a look
The bookshelf session is a cozy small-room performance. The office takeover uses a creative workplace. The after-hours set uses a darker recording room. Add a short wardrobe instruction such as “matching navy jackets.” Keep it about clothes.
4. Choose the sound
Generated sound requests a new instrumental groove and room ambience. It does not use the Outstanding recording or clone a singer. Switch sound off if you plan to add audio you have permission to use in your own editor.
5. Review before generating
Sign in when you are ready, review the final settings and use one video credit. My videos shows the task status; avoid resubmitting a task that is still processing.
6. Download and label your result
The requested output is about 15 seconds at 720p, vertical 9:16. Completed files are kept for seven days. Review the result before sharing, tell viewers it is AI-generated, and follow the sharing platform’s rules.
